Job Description

The Restaurant Manager will be pivotal in maintaining the restaurant’s success, focusing on financial management, operational efficiency, and staff leadership. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a commitment to high standards in food service.

• Analyze and develop budgets to manage food, alcohol, and supply costs, aiming to enhance profitability.
• Adjust food preparation methods and menu pricing in response to budgetary considerations.
• Monitor revenue and control labour costs effectively.
• Oversee and evaluate staff performance, providing training and supervision for a team of 5-10 individuals.
• Handle recruitment, set work schedules, and ensure a cohesive team environment.
• Define service offerings and implement robust operational procedures.
• Manage cash handling, complete balance sheets, and prepare financial reports.
• Organize and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.
• Negotiate with suppliers for food and other essential supplies.
• Engage with clients for catering services or facility usage.
• Contribute to and implement marketing plans.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all aspects of daily restaurant operations.

Requirements

• Completion of a secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3 to less than 5 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
• Must possess a Responsible Beverage Service Certificate.
• Must possess a Food Safety Certificate.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Eligible to work in Canada, including Canadian citizens, permanent or temporary residents, and other candidates with or without a valid Canadian work permit.

Working Conditions & Benefits

• Salary: $30.00 hourly, for 30 to 35 hours per week.
• Schedule: Full-time permanent employment, with shifts available mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and flexible hours, starting as soon as possible.
• Work Environment: Fast-paced, on-site, rural, and remote location requiring attention to detail, with physical demands including a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and extended periods of standing.
