Job Description

• Prepare patients thoroughly for dental examinations and treatments.
• Manage inventory for both dental and office supplies, including ordering and stocking.

• Perform sterilization and maintenance of all instruments and equipment in accordance with health standards.
• Execute intra-oral duties as directed by the dentist.
• Take and develop dental X-rays accurately.
• Maintain precise records of all dental procedures performed on patients.
• Take preliminary impressions for diagnostic casts.

Requirements

• Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting between 3 months and less than 1 year, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years but less than 3 years of professional experience as a dental assistant.
• Current registration with provincial or territorial dental assisting authorities.
• Possession of certification by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board.
• Proficiency in English is required for communication.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a temporary resident with a valid work permit).
