Salary: $29.00 to $40.00 per hour (To be negotiated)
Work Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week; Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Morning shifts

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize the schedules for drivers who deliver and pick up freight. Aim to make the routes as efficient as possible to save both time and money.
- Communicate clearly with customers about their shipments. Inform them about the expected delivery or pickup times, and ask about any special handling needs they might have.
- Check shipments closely to make sure they arrive on time. Provide customers with updates on their shipment status, and handle any issues if problems arise during transport.
- Keep thorough records of everything, including when drivers are sent out, their logs, any route changes, and the delivery or pickup times.
- Ensure that all transportation laws and company policies are followed. This includes rules like the Hours of Service (HOS) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in transportation, logistics, or a related field is a plus.

2-3 years of experience as a truck dispatcher or in a similar role within the transportation industry.

Strong understanding of trucking regulations and laws, with the ability to ensure compliance.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in transportation management software (TMS) and other relevant computer applications.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and mornings, as required.
