Responsibilities
As a Long Haul Truck Driver at Fantastic Transport Inc., your duties will include:
✅ Route Planning & Navigation: Adjust routes as needed using GPS or navigation devices to optimize fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
✅ Driving & Transporting Goods: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks over long distances to transport goods and materials.
✅ Teamwork & Convoy Driving: Work as part of a two-person team or convoy for long-distance hauls when required.
✅ Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in top working condition.
✅ Brake & Emergency Repairs: Conduct minor maintenance tasks, such as brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
✅ Cargo & Log Management: Keep accurate records of cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Qualifications & Requirements
Language: English proficiency is required.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience: Experience is an asset but not mandatory—new drivers are welcome to apply!
License & Certifications: A valid Class 1 or equivalent commercial driver’s license is required.
Work Conditions:
- You will have to spend a lot of time driving, even during the night and on weekends if required.
- This job involves heavy physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods whenever necessary.
- You also need to be comfortable working in all kinds of weather, whether it’s hot, cold, rainy, or windy
