Genoa Design International is hiring an experienced Design Draftsperson to join our exciting shipbuilding team. This job is fully remote, meaning you can work from any location and still be involved in advanced marine engineering projects. We are looking for someone with strong skills in creating technical drawings and who is skilled in using the design software that is common in our industry. Additionally, we need someone who can train and support younger team members, helping them to grow and succeed in their roles.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs and create technical drawings for shipbuilding projects.
- Enhance and refine design sketches, ensuring they are accurate and meet industry standards.
- Perform quality checks to identify and correct any mistakes or inconsistencies in designs.
- Assist in designing layouts for various shipbuilding components.
- Offer guidance and training to new drafting team members, helping them grow their skills.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Diploma or certificate from a college, CEGEP, or technical program (1-2 years).
- 5+ years of experience in drafting and design.
- Certification in one or more of the following:
- AutoCAD Certification
- Drafting (Architectural) Trade Certification
- SOLIDWORKS Certification
- Drafting Trade Certification
Technical Skills & Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, SolidWorks
- Plant Design Management System (PDMS)
- Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino)
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Mail server software and word processing applications
