The ideal candidate will have strong drafting skills, proficiency in industry-standard design software, and the ability to train and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering designs and technical drawings for shipbuilding projects.
- Develop and refine design sketches, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct quality checks to identify and rectify any design inconsistencies or errors.
- Assist in layout design for various shipbuilding components.
- Provide mentorship and training to new drafting personnel.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Diploma or certificate from a college, CEGEP, or technical program (1-2 years).
- 5+ years of experience in drafting and design.
- Certification in one or more of the following:
- AutoCAD Certification
- Drafting (Architectural) Trade Certification
- SOLIDWORKS Certification
- Drafting Trade Certification
Technical Skills & Software Knowledge
- AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, SolidWorks
- Plant Design Management System (PDMS)
- Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino)
- Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Mail server software and word processing applications
