Job Description

The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and preparing architectural designs and technical drawings. This role involves a blend of technical execution, supervision, and consultation to ensure project accuracy and client satisfaction.

• Prepare engineering designs and comprehensive drawing sets.
• Interpret blueprints and project specifications to determine work requirements.
• Supervise and train other drafting personnel as needed.
• Develop and refine design sketches for various architectural projects.
• Author clear and concise technical reports.
• Finalize documentation packages and ensure drawing sets are complete.
• Scrutinize drawings for conformity to standards and identify potential errors.
• Consult with clients, engineers, or production specialists to establish product requirements.
• Lead or instruct groups on technical processes.
• Execute modeling and simulation exercises using computerized units.
• Analyze, manage, and visually present data using geographic information systems and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software.

Requirements

• Proficiency in French is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Between 2 to less than 3 years of professional experience in a drafting role.
• Possession of a Drafting (Architectural) Trade Certification.
• Demonstrated experience in detailing drafting and creating presentation drawings.
• Advanced computer and technology knowledge, including expertise in: Rhinoceros 3D (Rhino), SketchUp, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, MS Office, InDesign, Autodesk 3ds Max, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
• Specialization or experience in 3D Modeling and Architecture is essential.
• Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and a collaborative team player mindset.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a temporary resident with a valid work permit. Unauthorized applicants will not be considered.
• Ability to obtain an enhanced reliability security clearance.
