Job Description: Hotel Receptionist

Auberge du lac Sacacomie Inc. is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join our front desk team. This is a permanent, full-time position at our beautiful on-site location. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay from check-in to check-out.

Employer: Auberge du lac Sacacomie Inc.
Location: Saint-Alexis-des-Monts, QC J0K 1V0 (On-site)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: $26.22 per hour (40 hours per week)
Shifts: Early morning, Evening

Responsibilities

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to arriving guests.

  • Process guest departures, calculate charges, and receive payments (cash, credit, etc.).

  • Handle room reservations, including taking, canceling, and changing bookings.

  • Process group arrivals and departures efficiently.

  • Investigate, resolve, and follow up on guest complaints and claims.

  • Provide information on hotel facilities, services, and local points of interest.

  • Perform front desk clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.

  • Answer telephone calls, relay calls and messages, and deliver wake-up calls.

  • Balance cash and complete daily balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.

  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.

  • Exchange foreign currency for guests.

  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.

  • Strictly follow all established emergency and safety procedures.

  • Provide outstanding customer service at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma.

  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Languages: Fluency in French is required.
