Job Description
The Cashier Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks crucial to the smooth running of the establishment. This includes supervising staff activities, managing financial transactions, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires on-site presence, with no remote work options available.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers and apprentices.
- Establish and manage staff work schedules.
- Address and resolve various issues, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Oversee cash management, including operating the cash register and processing payments.
- Tabulate total payments for goods or services and reconcile daily/shift sales.
- Conduct performance reviews for staff members.
- Administer payroll-related tasks.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 1 to less than 2 years of experience, preferably in a restaurant or retail service establishment.
- Demonstrated personal suitability including accuracy, efficiency, excellent oral communication, flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, including standing for extended periods.
