Thunder Transport Solutions is actively seeking to hire ten (10) dedicated Long Haul Truck Drivers to join their team in the RM of Sherwood, Saskatchewan. Job Description

As a Long Haul Truck Driver with Thunder Transport Solutions, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials across various distances. This role requires drivers to operate articulated or straight trucks, often as part of a two-person team.   • Strategically plan or adjust routes using navigation systems (GPS) and computer equipment to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a two-person driving team or convoy for long-distance hauls.
  • Operate and navigate straight trucks or articulated vehicles for the transport of various cargo.
  • Conduct routine brake adjustments to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle’s condition.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks on trucks to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Accurately record essential information, including cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Requirements

  •  (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Demonstrated experience in truck driving ranging from 1 month to less than 7 months.
  • Proficiency in English is required for communication and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work on-site at the 1030 Kearns Cres suite 12, RM of Sherwood, SK location; remote work options are not available.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly Wage: $33.60 per hour.
