Responsibilities & Duties

As a Vegetable Farm Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Sorting produce—fruits and vegetables—by specific criteria like size, shape, color, and overall quality to meet market standards.
  • Manually harvesting vegetables, ensuring minimal damage during collection.
  • Executing tasks such as planting, crop cultivation, and managing irrigation systems to promote optimal growth conditions.
  • Conducting weed control and monitoring crop health to mitigate pest and disease risks.
  • Managing the logistics of loading, unloading, and transferring crates, supplies, and harvested produce efficiently.
  • Inspecting products for quality assurance prior to shipment.
  • Carrying out general farm operations, with strict adherence to biosecurity protocols to prevent contamination.
  • Operating material handling equipment, including forklifts and dollies, for safe and effective movement of goods.
